Need iTunes 9.2
Download RedSn0w
Download the 4.0 firmware (iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G)
Plug in you device
Hold down (shift in windows) or (alt on a Mac) and click the “restore” button
Select the 4.0 firmware you just downloaded
Your device will now update
Now Run RedSn0w
RedSn0w will prompt you to locate your IPSW for your corresponding firmware ( This IPSW is the firmware you just downloaded)
Find the firmware (IPSW) and hit “next”
A prompt will ask you whether you have the iPod Touch 2G “MC” model.
To find out whether you have this model go to Settings General About
Respond appropriately
Click “Next”
Select the Options you want enabled
Tip: Always keep Cydia selected
Plug in your device, making sure it is OFF
Enter DFU mode the on-screen instructions will lead you through this process easily
If you correctly entered DFU mode, you screen will go white and the jailbreaking process is on its way
Eventually, it will reboot and there you go!
